75 Series "D" Front Pivot Under Cab/Rear Torsion Ride Rail Gear  
 
The front rail gear is attached behind the front road axle. The rail gear frame articulates through a center pin that allows the rail gear to articulate on rail.
 
The rear rail Gear uses manual hydraulic control levers that are used to articulate the hi-rail gear axle to Self-Align if the truck is up to 4-inches out of position. To align the rear axle, tilt the hi-rail axle and lower the rail gear until the rail wheel flange catches the railhead, then finish lowering the rail gear and the truck will be forced over into alignment. The rear rail gear has independent Torsion Ride spring suspension.
   
The rail Gear kits comes complete with mounting brackets, built-in de-rail skids, and steering wheel lock and Disc brakes. 
 
The front and rear Rail Gear units require 40 inches of frame space. The rail wheel ground clearance is 10.5 - 11.0 inches.
