75 Series "E" Front Ridged Under Cab/Rear Pivot Ride Rail Gear
The front rail gear is attached behind the front road axle. The rail gear frame is riged mount to the truck frame.
The rear rail Gear uses manual hydraulic control levers that are used to articulate the hi-rail gear axle to Self-Align if the truck is up to 4-inches out of position. To align the rear axle, tilt the hi-rail axle and lower the rail gear until the rail wheel flange catches the railhead, then finish lowering the rail gear and the truck will be forced over into alignment. The rear rail gear has a center pivot to allow for uneven rail conditions.
The rail Gear kits comes complete with mounting brackets, built-in de-rail skids, and steering wheel lock and Disc brakes.
The front Rail Gear units require 40 inches of frame space and the rear requires 24 inches. The front rail wheel ground clearance is 7.5 inches and the rear rail gear is 9.0 inches.
